Make disciples using innate cultural communication tools.

“Jesus replied with a story…”

  • Did you know?

Have you ever wondered why so much of Jesus’ teaching was through storytelling? Have you noticed that 90% of the Bible is in the form of narrative, poetry, and proverbs? Did you know that 70% of people today learn primarily orally, not by written means?

  • Jesus was a storyteller

Jesus lived and taught in an oral culture. His example helps us discover and practice communication that speaks directly to the hearts of oral learners. Many of our unreached neighbors, immigrants, refugees, and international students are oral learners.

  • You can communicate like Jesus did

You can dramatically strengthen the ways you communicate good news. Learning to implement storytelling tools will help you connect more quickly and deeply with oral learners! You can empower learners to make disciples among their own community using their own innate cultural communication tools.

What can you expect at Tell: Bridges to Oral Cultures?

What people are saying about Tell

"Tell Orality Training changed how we see and how we engage with the unreached people God has brought to our backyards!" ~Tell Alumnus

“The Tell training was awesome. It lit a fire in me and now I want to know all the gospel stories. I have already started working on memorizing more. Though memorizing has been very difficult for me, this approach has completely changed that for me!” ~Tell Alumnus

“I've had lots of training through the years but this specific use of the Word in this way seems like such a powerful tool to move others towards Christ. I'm excited to put these tools to work in my own life and in the other's lives, too.” ~Tell Alumnus
